We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Governance and Control Manager.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of SP&ST forecasting and stress testing control inventory, perform Regional Risk Controls Assessment (RCA)
  • Secretariat for HBAP Stress Testing Steering Committee
  • Identify, monitor and report self-Identified Issues (MSII) across SP&ST forecasting and stress testing activities and seek closure in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the closure of feedback from Treasury Risk, Audit, Assurance and other reviews
  • Maintain model inventory for SP&ST, engaging with country stress testing leads for completion
  • Perform stress testing Independent Reviews, engage with the country stress testing lead, Country CRO, CFO, and work closely with Treasury Risk and Internal Audit function
  • Perform internal stress testing process audits and make recommendations for process improvement
  • Write independent reviews, process audit papers and reports
  • Maintain the Regional and country end-end SP&ST core forecasting and stress testing process maps, governance structure, RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed), DARE (Decision Maker, Advisor, Recommender, Executor) structure, operating model for SP&ST core forecasting and stress testing activities
  • Produce training / education materials around Controls and Governance
  • Work closely with Group to ensure Global requirements, standards and best practices are covered, and communicated effectively to Asia
  • Collaborate with functions and businesses on regulatory and internal reviews e.g. ICAAP, Audit, Compliance, Recovery and Resolution Planning, Risk
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and demonstrates ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Good command of written and verbal English; experience in writing papers to senior management and summarizing large documents into actionable extracts
  • Able to think strategically, and make connection of governance activities with other processes
  • Well organized with attention to detail
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Finance or a Banking-related field
  • Professional qualifications in finance, auditing and project management not mandatory but advantageous
  • Good understanding of regulatory policies & requirements (e.g. HKMA, PRA)
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and work within strict timelines
  • Strong decision making, problem solving and influencing skills
