We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Global Wealth Transformation Director – Global Private Banking & Wealth.
Principal Responsibilities
Transformation acts as a business/function to shape, deliver and embed better customer outcomes. The Transformation Director assumes the responsibility to lead change initiatives, take strategic decisions, operate at an executive level and manage global stakeholder and sponsor relationships.
The purpose of this role is to successfully execute HSBC's global change agenda for Retail Wealth and achieve the Bank's vision to be the leading Wealth Manager in Asia (together with GPB) within the next 5 years. We aim to deliver tailored product solutions and exceptional experience to our clients, and help them achieve their life goals by growing and preserving their Wealth. Our success in supporting our clients' financial transactions and wealth planning needs across geographic boundaries is integral to HSBC's ambitions.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive the scoping, and delivery-at-pace, of a large-scale complex global strategic change programme. This effort leverages various techniques ( digitization, robotics, workflow tools and process re-engineering, artificial intelligence) to improve customer and colleague experience. As the scale and volume of change required by the business continues to accelerate, the role holder is expected to be the strategic change partner across all markets to:
Work closely with business partners to define the strategy, shape the approach across all initiatives and component activities, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes Influence and drive Value Stream delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks Lead definition of staffing, responsibilities and schedules Lead the establishment of effective Value Steam controls and procedures Manage relationships with external suppliers Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization Provide visible leadership to maintain a focus on how the Value Streams align to the change portfolio across WPB Drive the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with HSBC methodology at all times Programme governance should be in accordance with Group standards policy and procedures Lead the team to meet performance targets aligned to programme objective Drive large scale cultural change at both executive and delivery team level, and for developing change capabilities across WPB, in all forms , Agile, Design-led Change, Digital adoption etc. Relentlessly support the capabilities uplift, aspirations and inclusion of all team members.The role holder will be a key member of the GPB&W Transformation & Business Architecture leadership team contributing to, defining and driving the future development of the Transformation organisation, operating strategy and capability requirements in line with industry best practice.

Knowledge
Deep understanding of wealth subdomains in a minimum of 3 subdomains with a broad understanding across the balance: client onboarding & relationship management, financial planning and retirement, portfolio suitability and investment strategy, product and portfolio risk rating, robo advisory, equities & fixed income, structure products and alternative investments, wealth financing Expert in change methodologies including but not limited to Design-led change, agile, lean including significant experience in Agile roles Very strong knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors etc. Outstanding knowledge of Transformation – functionally, operationally and financially Outstanding understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviors and processes Strong intimate knowledge of our Business Partner's business model – the customer proposition, the channels and operations, and the key financial performance drivers.Experience
Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with Senior Executives across the group Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environments Demonstrated experience in wealth market initiatives Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigor, including being able to contextualize data into business activities and conclusions Proven ability in successfully designing and implementing large-scale, complex global / regional change initiatives Evidence of successfully managing financial plans Successful experience in developing and retaining critical talent and building an effective leadership teamCapabilities
