Principal Responsibilities

Role Purpose

GPB&W Business Architecture (BA) Team are the custodians of GPB&W’s Blueprint and FSA, linking propositions with tech solutions to create client and business value

The Business Architect for GPB&W Asia will be supporting the GPB&W Business Architecture Asia team in defining the target operating model and business capabilities (incl. journeys) required to fulfill GPB&W Asia's strategy.. The Business Architect will also support the interlock with technology architecture to help define solutions for the optimal system platforms to meet those business capabilities.

The individual will also be responsible for creating outputs to support the activity of bringing forward the respective designs to the GPB&W Design Authority which provides design/architecture governance across all SVS globally.

Principal Accountabilities

Key activities and decision making areas Supports documentation oftarget business and operating models (goals, products, target customer groups etc) Analyses current state operating models against target model to identify gaps and opportunities to support an effective transition towards the target state Collaborates with technology architecture and the business to support alignment the FSA (Future State Architecture) Supports Asia Business Architecture Leadership in ensuring that business architecture is communicated and well understood so that change activity is informed by target business and operating models Helps drive open and honest communication which anticipates stakeholder expectations

Customers and Stakeholders

Support domains with architecture decisions required to progress delivery of new capabilities at pace Collaborate with Business Architecture teams in other WPB business lines as required and technology architecture teams Operational Performance Support the Business Architecture Asia Leadership in communicating the change impacts to appropriate change stakeholders and in escalation of risks and issues to appropriate governance bodies Capability and People Development Ensure Business Architecture frameworks (methods, tools, roles, measures) are followed and are continuously updated; thus driving a common high performance approach across GPB&W Can do attitude, flexibility and proven ability to think strategically and pragmatically, maintaining high levels of engagement and staying committed to high quality outputs Have a growth mindset and openness to learning new concepts rapidly

Role Context

Critical role in fulfilling GPB&W Asia's ambitious strategy across Asia Wealth and WMT in particular Observation of Internal Controls The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation will be achieved by consistently displaying the Group Values: Dependable, Open, Connected The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators

Role Dimensions

The individual will be a member of the Asia GPB Business Architecture team, reporting to a Senior Business Architect (GCB4) Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

Ability to grasp complex business and technology problems and design solutions to address these Good knowledge of private banking and wealth management business Experience with Target Business and Operating Models and transformation business case Overall financial services industry knowledge Awareness of the purpose, culture and fundamentals of Business Architecture Analytical skills to derive insight from large amount of imperfect data and information Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills Self-driven and able to work independently

Experience

Experience in supporting large and complex change including people, process and technology development Experience of working in business, data, process, organisation architecture and design
