Assistant Legal Manager(C/CASD/ALMGR/07/24-AP2)

Major Duties
: (a) Provide support to the Legal Counsel in reviewing contracts, memorandum of understanding (“MoUs”), non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents; drafting contracts and legal documents; and translating legal documents between English and Chinese; (b) Conduct legal research on legal issues, codes, statutes, judicial decisions, and other relevant sources of law; (c) Support Legal Counsel in communicating with internal stakeholders, such as different operational units, and working with external parties including external lawyers, government bodies, and other organisations; provide support in day-to-day tasks which may include preparing meeting documents, organising case files, coordinating meetings etc; (d) Assist in budget planning, administration of legal function and monitoring legal expenditure; and (e) Handle other ad hoc assignments and performing any other duties as assigned, such as assisting in training / briefing sessions. Requirements : (a) A recognised degree in Laws, preferably possessing Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (P.C.LL.) or a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong; (b) At least five years’ experience in law firm, preferably with litigation experience or in-house legal department in a commercial organisation or tertiary education institution; and (c) Effective communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is an advantage. Notes : (1) The post is at the rank of “Senior Officer”. (2) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
