The HKUST MBA Program’s mission is to develop leaders in Asia for the World. We have a culture that values learning, innovation, and leadership development. About the Opportunity
The appointee will have a unique opportunity to help attract and develop Hong Kong’s next generation of executive talent. This will contribute to the development of individual students while also making a positive difference to Hong Kong’s talent needs. The Manager, MBA Admissions, will be responsible for managing our application, assessment, and enrollment functions.
Key responsibilities will include:
Admissions Process Management:
Offer Holders and Admitted Candidates Management:
Manage offer issuance process, in collaboration with the University’s Graduate SchoolPlan and lead engagement with admitted candidates to advise candidates on suitability of our MBA program for their needs. Provide information to international students on visa application and relocation. Host ‘pre-arrival’ events as neededCoordinate with current students and alumni to share experiences with offer holders and admitted candidatesLiaise with the student team to ensure a smooth transition for the candidates as they begin their programApplication review:
Assist in screening and reading of applications as part of overall application review teamConduct applicant interviews as part of overall interview teamCandidates Recruitment support:
As part of overall Marketing & Admissions team, act as program ambassador and present the program to prospective students at education fairs, information sessions campus tours, consultations, and other occasionsEnsure admissions data provided for promotional purposes is up-to-date and accurateTeaming:
Lead and coach a team of admissions professionals. Success in this role will also require collaboration with other teams in the MBA office, with faculty, and with stakeholders throughout HKUSTDesired professional experience and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and over 7 years of relevant experience. MBA, Master’s degree in Human Resources or Education, or related degrees preferredRelevant experience could include marketing & admissions at an internationally oriented higher education institution; talent acquisition/recruitment with a leading corporation, professional services or executive search firm; or other Higher Education/Human Capital-related rolesExperience in managing and developing teammatesExperience in interviewing applicantsComfortable with public speakingFluent in EnglishIntegrityPosition requires occasional evening and weekend work, and occasional travel. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
