The MSc Programs Office of HKUST Business School is looking for a creative, organized and fast-paced individual to fill the role of Assistant Manager in the MSc Marketing and Outreach team. Reporting to the Head of MSc Programs, the appointee will oversee and execute the branding and marketing strategies to recruit high-quality candidates to the MSc programs, with the key responsibilities in the following areas:

Plan and Implement Marketing Campaigns
Drive marketing communications strategy to identify and devise effective marketing campaigns leveraging digital marketing channels to raise the brand awareness of HKUST Business School’s MSc program portfolio in overseas and China regions; work in close partnership with program teams and external service providers for marketing collaterals production, website revamp and maintenance, and other marketing-related matters; monitor effectiveness and budget of marketing activities.

Develop Digital Marketing Initiatives
Formulate and develop digital marketing initiatives, including website development, online advertising, mobile marketing, and social media marketing, i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WeChat, Weibo, and other social medial platforms; and define key indicators to maximize the campaigns’ performance and effectiveness, and to optimize the reach and engagement rate.

Program Admissions and Student Enrichment Activities
Plan and organize admissions events to retain high-quality admitted candidates to the programs; support and coordinate new program collaborative/project-based activities; and organize enrichment activities to enrich students’ learning experience.

Research, Identify and Evaluate New Insights
Conduct timely research on new advertising channels and platforms to define and advise marketing opportunities and new insights; evaluate competitors’ advertising and marketing activities in order to design and maximise the cost effectiveness of the media plan.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications or related business disciplines, with at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification work experience. Prior experience in tertiary education with substantial digital marketing experience and social media promotion will be an advantage.

The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated, creative and positive thinker and should have integrated marketing knowledge and hands-on experience in digital contents creation, write-ups and production. The appointee should have strong organizational and project management skills; be attentive to details, and a good team player with good interpersonal and coordination skills. The appointee should also have strong ability to manage tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment independently.

An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) and good communication and presentation skills are required. Knowledge in webpage and image editing is a plus. Occasional travel and working outside office hours including weekends will be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
