ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

To lead a robust team to drive business results covering product development, product sourcing for Wrangler Modern bottoms product line. Work with design and development and merchandising teams in US, EMEA, China and various functions within the sourcing organization like product stewardship, quality, and operations to effectively manage product development and sourcing. Ensure products should be developed and produced in the right place/time, with the right partner at the best possible cost with the right quality while in-line with the sourcing strategy. Work towards goals to achieve the brand’s business needs as well as to drive KPI results to support strategic directions from Asia Sourcing (ASO) through teamwork. This should happen in line with the overall Brand strategy to meet or exceed overall corporate financial requirements.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :

1. Be accountable on business deliverables

To facilitate product development and other key business processes to deliver results through teamwork. Support business by driving decisions with meaningful insights.

Facilitate and Drive Brand Globalization Considering the Global line find balance on what needs to developed throw Kontoor owned development centers and what needs to go to vendor. Considering that same style will be utilized by different markets and take approval on product quality & aesthetics while ensuring that this is satisfying needs of all regions. Keeping in mind regional consumer needs, export/Import regulations between different countries, duties, transportation lead-time; identify countries and vendors with most suitable for all regions for the styles that needs to be shipped to multiple matrix management Decide vendor allocation to drive for most effective results with cost effective implications under strict quality, timeline framework. Understand characteristics of vendors and use this knowledge on vendor planning strategy. Costing management Initiate costing exercise among regions/vendors to get costing insight for vendor base planning. Supporting team for negotiation on costing and delivery in proto/SMS/final order stage, with vendors to fulfill business KPI from Planning and Product Management team. Being able to interpret and present cost components analysis reports and provide insights of findings and improvement plan in a meaningful way. Facilitate data integrity maintenance for business including cost saving, seasonal order data summary and business analytics thru teamwork. Projects Explore opportunities to strive for best practices, elaborate and develop project initiatives to drive results. Support project initiatives under ASO platform proactively and collectively. Support innovative project initiatives from brand by getting the right vendor, making the right product in the best possible way. Be able to drive decision making with any counterparts for the best benefit of business. Calendar Support brand to put in place a GTM calendar that can meet brand’s business needs which is also in line with sourcing execution. Support team to explore options/alternatives to speed up executions, shorten regular lead-time to pursue speed-to-market approaches. People Management Team structuring for most effective manpower utilities. Effectively balancing workload among teams Identify individual’s strength/development area. Support them to maximize their potentials to deliver in-class performance. Coaching & developing team members. Being able to build strategic and meaningful relationship with teams, internal/external business partners and senior managements. 2. Key relationship optimization

Create, drive, and sustain effective and influential key relationship with internal and external partners that will maximize business objectives.

Building and maintaining strategic relationship with vendors Building trust with management, other business units and functional teams to understand company/business needs. Be the voice for the team internally and representing Kontoor externally. Establish strong trust and connectivity with product design/product management team on the expected development deliverables, resolving complaints, claims, and any possible issues. Establish meaningful relationship with Operation and planning team for better communication regarding lead-time and material pre-booking challenges to find alternative solutions. Geographic Scope: This role will be working with Vendors in South Asia, China, Africa & Europe while most active involvement will be with Vendors in Asia. Work with Brand partner in Berchem, Belgium and Bangalore, India. Direct reports/ Dotted Line (If any): The role will have 3 direct reports (Senior Merchandisers and Merchandisers) Business Scope: Product development, sourcing for Wrangler Modern bottoms products shipped to US, Europe, China and licensee partners (approx. 500 development SKU/ per annum and production of 6 Million pcs/annum).

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.

Education: A bachelor’s degree holder preferably in apparel-related disciplines or equivalent Experience: 7 years of apparel experience with denim bottoms product knowledge is preferred while at least 3 years of supervising experience

Internal Stakeholder: Sourcing development team, Global Procurement team, Product Design team, Product management team, QC team, Technical Design team, Product Safety and Stewardship team. External Stakeholder: Garment vendors, laundries, material/service suppliers Other Specific Working Conditions: Owing to the time zone difference, the candidate will be required to work occasionally outside normal working hours for online meetings with associates in other regions.
