This person will contribute to the group’s growth by helping to identify and evaluate candidates to join our team as portfolio managers, researchers, and software developers. The ideal candidate will learn quickly and enjoy a high degree of autonomy in our fast-paced, high-engagement environment.

What you’ll do

Work with our existing talent acquisition team, candidates, and various groups across the firm to assist in the full life cycle of the recruitment processWork with Portfolio Management teams to generate job specifications and skills requirements to support their research effortsManage relationships with a subset of our external recruitment firmsEstablish and maintain relationships with universities and student groupsAssist in the standardization of interview evaluation summaries and creation of interview training materialsCollaborate in developing new strategies for sourcing and evaluating potential candidatesSurvey the recruiting landscape to determine market trends and identification of talentDevelop long-term relationships with a range of talented individuals in the spaceGather and outline objectives for each open position with the hiring manager to develop accurate job descriptions, qualifications, and required skills; screen candidates; and help formulate offers

What’s required

An academic background in a quantitative discipline or coming from a related fieldA BS or MS in finance, statistics, engineering or computer science is preferred along with 3 years of work experienceThe ability to independently manage multiple long-term and short-term projects simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal skills and “emotional intelligence”; we seek a demonstrated ability to build relationships both internally and externallyStrong verbal communication skills, and the ability to perceive nuance in verbal interactionsStrong written communication skillsCommitment to the highest ethical standardsNon-English language skills (especially Mandarin) are valuable but not a requirement
