The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation. The Registry is also responsible for maintaining student records and providing secretarial support to Senate and its committees, and are integral in the governing of academic regulations of the University. We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Registry: Academic Service Manager (REG) - (250007 S)Job School/Unit School/Unit: Registry Closing Date Closing Date: 14/Feb/2025, 3:59:00 PMMajor Duties and Responsibilities Overseeing and leading the day-to-day operations of the Examinations & Assessment team and working closely with other offices in the Registry, such as Enrolment, Class Scheduling, Advanced Standing, Student Records, and Graduation; Leading and delivering workflow improvement, system enhancements, and regular updates to suit the needs of Examinations & Assessment; Overseeing assignment-related activities and administering examination-related tasks, such as the formulation of examination timetable, examination materials and logistics, appointment of invigilators and examiners, special examination arrangements, and handling of examination scripts and results; Coaching and supervising team staff in daily operations according to the University’s policies and guidelines; Contributing to the review and implementation of policies, regulations, and procedures; Overseeing system review and enhancement, and providing support to committee work as well as the compilation of reports; Liaising with academic/administrative units and external parties on assignment and examination related functions; Performing any other duties as assigned by the Registrar or his/her nominee(s). Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognized degree with at least 6 years’ relevant post-qualification administrative and supervisory experience, preferably in the Higher Education sector; Experience in Examinations & Assessment, system operation or process streamlining is a plus; Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a student-centred mindset; Strong interpersonal, communication and data analytics skills, with attention to details and proactive attitude; Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and drive change; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; Good computer literacy and familiarity with the use of technology in administration; Demonstrated experience in people management and staff development; A good team player with strong sense of responsibility and motivation.
