Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:Planning, developing, coordinating and delivering the courses (including face-to-face and distance learning modes);Conducting lectures and tutorials of an Associate of General Studies programme for target groups of inmates in the Ethics College, which is established by the Correctional Services Department at Lo Wu Correctional Institution, Pak Sha Wan Correctional Institution and/or Pik Uk Prison;Participating in Department/School/University activities and administration; andPerforming any other duties as assigned.CandidatesCandidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:A higher degree, in Chinese Language & Literature or a relevant discipline;Relevant teaching/professional experience including programme development and course administration;Involvement in professional and community activities; andA good command of English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua).The level of appointment depends on the candidate’s academic background, experience and competence in academic leadership, teaching, research, scholarly publications, etc.Terms and Conditions for AppointmentAn attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
