We're seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive, with a strong understanding of consumer trends in the Asian market. This role will report directly to the Group Business Development Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a solid pipeline of brand partnerships across various markets.ResponsibilitiesConduct market research and analysis for different business development initiatives (brand, market, category, retail channel, investment funds etc.)Identify business and partnership opportunities, arrange and attend initial meetings to identify the brands / companies needs in APACFilter and analyse new opportunities against the group's strategiesCreate brand / company / category briefs to support introduction of new opportunitiesArrange and attend regular catch up meetings with the Country Managers to present new opportunities and discuss ongoing business developmentProactively engage and follow up on required action plans for brandsPrepare external business proposals under the Country Manager's lead including but not limited to sales forecast, distribution strategy, P&L simulationUpdate documents such as the corporate presentation and internal brand update trackersSupport with ad hoc tasks like sample arrangement, travel arrangement, expensesLiaise and build relationships internally with relevant teams across Marketing, LegalQualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales or a related field5+ years of relevant experience in business and partnership development rolesKnowledge and experience across multiple categories including beauty is highly preferredExcellent business acumen with outstanding communication & presentation skillsProven ability to initiate, structure, negotiate and close partnership dealsExperience in dealing with executive level decision makersExcellent English language ability, proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is preferredPositive and resilient attitude, mature, highly motivated and self-starterDesire to work autonomously and take accountability for own performanceYou Will Love It Here If You Like ToExplore new brands across a diverse range of categories to introduce to the Asian marketExpand your network and build relationships with brands and industry connectionsDevelop a business mindset and deepen your understanding of Asian market trendsThrive in a collaborative environment that values positivity and open-minded discussionsSeniority level
