About the Role:
Hang Seng Bank Limited is seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as a Business Risk and Control Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in business development, new products, and platform projects as a business risk and control subject matter expert. You will provide advice to the business on overall business risk aspects and act as a trusted partner to ensure the business remains within risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in business development, new products, and platform projects as a business risk and control subject matter expert.
- Act as a trusted partner to the business to ensure the business remains within risk appetite.
- Establish and maintain effective risk management and controls within the Investments and Wealth Solutions business.
- Coordinate with relevant business teams to ensure the proper and timely recording and reporting of management self-identified issues and the corresponding management action plans.
- Propose and implement continuous control monitoring and arrange regular and ad-hoc reviews in response to review findings, business initiatives, and updates to Group policies and requirements.
- Act as the secretary of business risk governance meetings and ensure timely and comprehensive updates of risk reporting to senior management in the risk forum.
- Promote operational risk awareness, including briefing and training to staff, sharing of internal/external incidents, etc.
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Around 5 years' relevant experience in banking, with exposure to risk control and relevant qualification.
- Sound knowledge of retail banking, investment markets, products, and regulations, operational risk management, financial crime compliance, or other related areas.
- Strong business sense, self-motivated with good communication, logical, and positive thinking, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Strong business acumen with good problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective deliverables.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
