About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to join our APAC Investment Platform leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing our investment teams in the region, developing and executing the department's strategic plan, and ensuring that we have the necessary talent and resources to deliver excellent investment performance for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the department's strategic plan and various initiatives to ensure the APAC investment teams have the talent and resources they need to deliver for clients.
  • Lead and manage our investment teams in the region, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to both junior and experienced investment professionals.
  • Ensure that we attract, develop, and retain the investment talent necessary to generate excellent research and drive investment performance.
  • Promote idea generation, robust and respectful investment debates leading to excellent investment performance in our portfolios.
  • Ensure that the APAC Investment Platform has the necessary infrastructure and support to achieve its investment objectives and meet our fiduciary and regulatory responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience in investment management or a related field.
  • Fundamental research capability, including a broad sector knowledge in Asia Equities.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage, prioritize, and complete multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate and integrate numerous viewpoints and mobilize/influence across the firm.
  • Prior management experience of investors and/or first-hand investment experience, either as an Analyst or Portfolio Manager, would be advantageous.
