Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Application Manager to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing the production support process, ensuring seamless communication with clients, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate production support requests to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement effective incident management processes to minimize response time and resolution time.
  • Collaborate with development teams to plan new releases and project change request schedules.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot problems effectively, utilizing tools and methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
  • Prepare incident reports and work closely with clients to resolve issues.
  • Optimize and automate support, monitoring procedures as needed.
  • Develop and set up incident management (Severity 1-4) and change request processes with clients and development teams.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering disciplines.
  • At least 8-10 years of professional experience in application management support projects, preferably from IT consulting.
  • Solid experience in project management, production incident management, and communication.
  • Hands-on experience in coordinating, leading, and prioritizing production support.
  • Experience confirming enterprise standards in terms of production support and system changes.
  • The ability to lead sizeable on/offshore teams to achieve goals.
  • Strong experience/knowledge in project management tools, techniques, and systems development methodologies and lifecycles.
  • Sound knowledge in SAP application technology: Java/.Net/ETL/Packaging Solutions.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • The ability to foster and build relationships, engage, and influence others, working with diverse internal and global business units.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua is an advantage).
  • Certification in Project Management will be an advantage.
  • Previous IT experience in consulting firms or services vendors is a plus.
  • Candidates with more experience would be considered as Senior Managers.
