About the Solutions & Services

The Solutions & Services division is integral to Fidelity's Client Propositions function, aimed at aligning client requirements with Fidelity's investment offerings through tailored products, solutions, and services. Operating on a global scale, our team strives to deliver favorable outcomes for our diverse client base, which includes retail, wholesale, and institutional clients across various regions including Europe, Asia, Japan, and the Middle East.

The primary goal of the Solutions & Services team is to foster the growth and development of Fidelity's business by attentively listening to clients and integrating various aspects of Fidelity's capabilities to create customized solutions that address specific client needs. This involves representing Fidelity's investment capabilities to both prospective and existing clients, enhancing relationships, and cultivating new partnerships. Our proactive approach enables us to engage clients earlier in their decision-making processes, transitioning from reactive responses to proactive interactions.

The team also plays a crucial role in collaborating with investment teams, the Portfolio Research and Engineering team, and operational units to ensure that new solutions align with client requirements. This collaboration is essential for developing innovative products and strategies that resonate with our clients' needs.

Purpose of Your Role

  • As a member of Fidelity's Solutions & Services team, you will support client-facing initiatives for our global distribution business, working closely with Investment Directors and liaising with Portfolio Managers and the global sales force.
  • Engage with clients to comprehensively understand their long-term investment objectives and how these align with Fidelity's broader investment strategies.
  • Produce a variety of written materials to facilitate client engagement, including pitch books, product presentations, and thought leadership content.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Directors to enhance materials that effectively communicate our Solutions approach, including case studies and internal playbooks.

Your specific responsibilities will encompass:

  • Partnering with Solutions Directors on client opportunities, preparing relevant materials, and assisting with modeling.
  • Contributing to the research agenda alongside Solutions Directors to generate insights and thought leadership.
  • Supporting internal distribution teams in promoting Solutions & Services.
  • Building strong relationships with distribution to uncover commercial opportunities.
  • Enhancing the visibility of Fidelity's investment solutions both internally and externally.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of Fidelity's capabilities and investment processes, and effectively communicating this knowledge.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of market structures, portfolio strategies, and competitor landscapes to identify growth opportunities.
  • Adhering to a unified global process and governance framework.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • A client-centric mindset.
  • Experience in the asset management sector, with an understanding of investment, cost, and regulatory factors impacting client needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to empathize with both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • A passion for investing, with knowledge of current and historical market trends.
  • A foundational understanding of portfolio theory and investment principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience in large team environments and stakeholder engagement.
  • A strong commercial acumen and a desire to contribute to Fidelity's growth.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A collaborative spirit and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with strong analytical capabilities.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership and resolve challenges.
  • CFA or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
