Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Officer, Building Services to join our team at HKT. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of technical staff and managing/monitoring contractors to ensure the smooth operation of building services systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of large building equipment systems.
  • Lead and manage the daily maintenance, engineering, and emergency repair work schedules, quality, and safety of technical staff and contractors.
  • Provide technical advice to internal and external customers, develop contracts, and enhance the team's technical expertise in this area.
  • Assist in controlling budgets and preparing quotations and related reports.
  • Conduct inspections and report on system problems.
  • Assist the supervisor in handling all matters related to building equipment systems.
  • Follow the roster to handle 24-hour emergency repair services.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant building services high-level certificate or degree.
  • Have 5 years or more of experience in building services system maintenance and repair.
  • Familiar with relevant regulations and codes of practice.
  • Have good technical knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly standby generators, UPS, and chilled water systems.
  • Be able to write and read simple English work orders.
  • Hold a valid Construction Industry Safety Passport.
  • Hold a Level A or above electrical license issued by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department will be given priority consideration.
  • Hold a valid Hong Kong driving license categories (1) and (2) will be given priority consideration.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Technical Officer.
