Strategic Project Lead for Global Equities Business

Citi is a leading global financial institution seeking an experienced Strategic Project Lead to join our Global Equities Business Execution team in Hong Kong/Singapore.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a strong understanding of business procedures, financial services, and technical terminology.

Responsibilities include leading multiple complex projects and/or special assignments concurrently, collaborating across the Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Data Privacy, Market Data, Legal, Compliance, Credit Organization, In-Business Controls, and In Business Risk organizations.

This role also requires driving project and business requirements, including interviewing business process or products owners, authoring requirements, scope, gaining approvals, updating project scope changes.

The successful candidate will maintain and distribute meeting minutes, project summaries, and project documentation, delivering effective communication (written and verbal) to all levels, including management.

This includes communicating to executive teams using dashboards, decks, and/or material appropriate for senior leadership review and discussions, developing metrics/measurements as needed.

The Strategic Project Lead will track, update, escalate, and communicate project issues, risks, and gaps, and action items while driving identification of priority and project or program impact.

This position requires developing and executing project plans, conducting follow-ups, and updating project documentation in accordance with established processes.

The ideal candidate will be able to serve as the Business liaison throughout all stages of the project, attending all project meetings, making key project decisions, identifying Business owners, escalating Business risks and issues, and taking responsibility to deliver Business tasks.

This role involves overseeing and governing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) specific to product, if required, performing BAU and project management duties, drafting and managing relevant related initiatives through the regional New Products Approval (NPA) process, Cross Border Data and Privacy Risk assessments, when necessary.

To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record, advanced degree (a plus), 5 or more years of project management or business analyst experience, experience of Asian markets and Equities businesses such as Prime, Derivatives, and Cash, and experience of Front to Back Process review.

You should be experienced at creating, publishing, updating, and communicating project requirements, project plans, test, and mitigation plans, summarizing and clearly articulating issues and risks to project team and management.

This position also requires experience managing projects in a regulatory required control environment, producing high-quality documentation, including standard operating procedures and requirements documents, and having a strong understanding of business procedures, financial services, and technical terminology.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, people/team management and large-scale planning experience, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, and understand waterfall and agile practices and principles.
