As the Regional Compliance Officer for Asia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the compliance strategy across the region, focusing on critical areas such as Data Privacy, AI Compliance, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC).
Key Responsibilities
Assist in formulating the annual compliance strategy for Asia, emphasizing objectives related to Data Privacy and AI Compliance, alongside Anti-Bribery & Corruption initiatives.Facilitate the implementation of Group Data Privacy & AI Compliance Policies within AXA's Asian entities, ensuring effective collaboration and sharing of best practices among Data Privacy Officers (DPOs) across the region.Provide expert guidance and support on various projects and assessments related to Data Privacy and AI Compliance, including risk assessments tailored to AI systems, policy development for first-line obligations, and control templates for third-party agreements.Continuously update and enhance Asia Compliance policies and procedures to establish a robust compliance monitoring framework, ensuring the operational effectiveness of Data Privacy and AI Compliance.Review compliance reports and assessments from various entities, offering constructive feedback to local compliance teams, and managing submissions and updates to Group Compliance, including Compliance Risk Assessments and Gap Analyses.Conduct timely follow-ups on actions identified from compliance reviews concerning Data Privacy, AI Compliance, and ABC, updating the action status in the Group Compliance system.Assist in developing training materials and communication strategies, including presentations, newsletters, and forums focused on Data Privacy, AI Compliance, and ABC topics.Support Asia entities in managing the pre-approval process for Gifts & Entertainment, maintaining accurate records in the Gift & Entertainment register.Coordinate responses for AXA Group reporting and ad hoc requests as necessary.Participate in regulatory projects on an ad-hoc basis, providing compliance advisory as needed.
Your Qualifications
A university degree in a relevant field, preferably in Law, Commerce, or Business.A minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in data privacy or a related field, with a solid understanding of insurance products, compliance processes, and regulatory frameworks.Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in both spoken and written English; knowledge of additional Asian languages, particularly Cantonese and/or Mandarin, is advantageous.
