Key Responsibilities- Budget Planning and Control: Lead the budget planning process, including data analysis and preparation of financial forecasts for the Hong Kong office.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee budget control activities, ensuring adherence to financial targets and identifying variances.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate frequently with Head Office departments in Tokyo, providing necessary reports and updates on financial performance and budget matters.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Insights and Recommendations: Provide insights and recommendations to senior management regarding budget management and resource allocation.
- Financial Operations: Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant information for accurate financial reporting.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements in all financial operations.
- Process Improvement: Assist in the development and enhancement of management accounting processes and systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of management accounting experience in a banking or financial services environment; candidates with lesser experience may be considered for an Assistant Manager role.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Japanese at N1 level is required for effective communication with Head Office.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with financial reporting tools. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
