Job Title: Assistant Manager, Business Planning

Aesop is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Business Planning to join our team in Hong Kong and Macau. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial reports and compliance requirements to support business decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and monitor the budgeting and forecasting process with stakeholders, providing clear analysis and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly business reviews, highlighting risks and opportunities for the markets in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist the Commercial Director in preparing business review decks for regional teams.
  • Provide commentaries and explanations on actual versus budget/latest forecast performance to regional finance teams.
  • Partner with the Commercial Director to drive accurate and insightful sales performance analysis in various channels/doors.
  • Provide strategic analysis and financial appraisal when evaluating CAPEX investments for the Commercial Director/Property team.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure retail headcount planning aligns with business needs while balancing resource efficiency.
  • Liaise with Demand Planning to ensure the S&OP process is in place, validating financial forecasts and demand plans.
  • Partner with the Marketing and Retail Capability teams to evaluate efficient and effective use of investments to align with business goals and strategies.
  • Review contracts and leases, providing financial evaluations to ensure clauses are not detrimental to the company.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications, such as a globally recognized accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Solid experience in financial/business planning and analysis.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to demonstrate good sense and judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, committed to excellence, with strong learning agility and results-oriented.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, etc.), with experience with NetSuite ERP system an advantage.
