The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Director of the HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study. This esteemed position offers a unique opportunity to shape the academic landscape and drive cutting-edge research.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction to the Institute, overseeing its academic programs and fostering a collaborative research environment.
- Build a diverse and talented community of IAS Professors, Fellows, and visitors, promoting interdisciplinary studies and innovation.
- Cultivate strong relationships with HKUST faculty, schools, and departments, driving collaborative research and knowledge exchange.
- Establish partnerships with local, national, and international researchers and institutions, enhancing the Institute's global impact.
- Nurture a culture of research excellence, supporting the development of gifted students and postdoctoral fellows.

What We Offer
HKUST offers a competitive remuneration package, including housing where appropriate, and a dynamic work environment that fosters growth and development. The Directorship is a full-time appointment, normally for an initial term of 5 years, with the possibility of renewal.
