Strategic Business Planning Director

DBS Bank's Corporate and Investment Banking division provides comprehensive commercial banking services to corporate customers, including cash management, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans, and foreign exchange. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team to develop and implement business strategies, actionable plans, and measurable KPI scorecards to drive planned financials for the Institutional Banking Group.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive management dashboards, presentations, performance reports, and data analytics to track business performance, measure sales effectiveness and productivity, and identify insights on business opportunities or performance gaps.
- Develop advanced analytics with AI and machine learning capabilities to provide personalized contextual marketing and just-in-time sales analytics, driving incremental benefits to the business.
- Analyze customer behavior across all touchpoints to optimize the sales approach and enhance service and customer experience online and offline.
- Build machine learning models to identify suspicious behaviors and anomaly patterns, enhancing control and mitigating risk.
- Collaborate with Business Finance, Corporate Treasury, and TLM to review funding, FTP, and capital management, and support special funding programs to acquire high-yield loans and deposits, driving capital efficiencies and improving the competitive edge and ROE.
- Work with regional offices and T&O to develop and maintain an integrated data lake for data mining and analytics, driving quantitative analysis and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
- University degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in the banking industry, preferably in Institutional Banking, with a good understanding of commercial products and services.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and solid knowledge of accounting and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective business strategies to drive business growth based on quantitative analysis.
- Proficiency in PC skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Ability to work with financial and operational teams and business users, handle multiple tasks, attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
