Job Overview
A highly skilled Senior / Business Technology Manager (Core Banking) is required to lead the implementation of Core Banking projects at Bank Of China (Hong Kong) Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing business and user requirement analysis, acting as the primary liaison between business and IT units, managing IT project implementation, and providing strong support to business users.

Responsibilities
As a Senior / Business Technology Manager (Core Banking), your key responsibilities will include:
  • Business Analysis: Perform comprehensive business and user requirement analysis to identify project objectives, scope, and timelines.
  • Liaison Role: Act as the primary liaison between business and IT units, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Implementation: Manage IT project implementation, including project planning, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
  • Team Management: For senior managers only, manage Business Technology team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Problem-Solving: Monitor project progress, resolve occurring problems, and provide expert advice to business users.
  • Support: Provide strong support to business users, ensuring they have the necessary resources and information to meet their objectives.
  • Reporting: Prepare various management reports, highlighting project status, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • Procurement: Manage project budget and procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.


Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • Educational Background: Hold a degree or above in Business Studies, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • Professional Experience: Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis, with candidates having more experience considered for senior manager positions.
  • Technical Skills: Possess solid experience working with Core Banking applications, such as Deposit and Loans applications, although this is not mandatory.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all relevant parties in IT or Business.
  • Cultural Fit: Be self-motivated, willing to work in a competent, challenging, and teamwork environment, with good command of both written and spoken Chinese and English languages.
  • Software Skills: Have solid experience using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
