Field Operations Technical Specialist

Overview:

As a vital member of our team, you will represent Thermo Fisher Scientific with professionalism and positivity in all interactions with both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on service commitments while executing installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, training, and repairs.
  • Provide services either remotely or on-site, ensuring priorities are set correctly according to agreed conditions.
  • Document service activities, create protocols, and maintain comprehensive service reports to meet both internal and customer requirements.
  • Foster strong customer relationships to enhance loyalty and ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to implement customer agreements that are both profitable and exceed expectations.
  • Ensure the optimization and accuracy of tools and consignment parts provided to customers.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives through our Practical Process Improvement Business System.

Qualifications:

  • High Diploma or higher in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Less experienced candidates or recent graduates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively manage customer and colleague interactions in challenging situations.
  • A strong team player with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in articulating technical approaches, work performed, test results, and findings.
  • Exhibit a customer-friendly demeanor and a professional attitude.
  • Possess a solid electrical or mechanical background for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Competent in PC applications, including MS Office and Outlook.
