About the Job


This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our APAC team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the region.


Responsibilities


The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in sales and distributor management with multinational consumer brands or FMCG companies. You will be responsible for:



  • Developing and implementing annual sales and marketing plans, setting targets and KPIs
  • Analyzing sales and market reports, tracking defined KPIs, and implementing corrective measures
  • Coordinating market visits and review meetings with local distributors
  • Defining distribution targets on client and product levels following strategic objectives and growth plans
  • Driving trade marketing activities in cooperation with regional marketing and local distributors
  • Designing and recommending price and margin strategies for product ranges in cooperation with regional marketing
  • Managing sales and procurement processes with support from CIC based on local stock targets considering lead times
  • Jointly visiting markets and clients with local distributors and participating in regular sales force meetings, presentations, and training activities

Interactions (Internal & External)


You will interact with various stakeholders including local distributors, APAC management teams, regional marketing teams, APAC service desks and SCM, and international sales and marketing organizations.


Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • A degree in business-related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of work experience in sales and distributor management with multinational consumer brands or FMCG companies
  • Experience in China is a plus
  • Experience in APAC regional roles is a plus

  • Ability to efficiently manage high complexity covering all relevant business aspects
  • Good drive and execution; proactive behavior looking beyond own area of responsibility
  • Good analytical skills and ability to identify and exploit growth potentials
  • Understanding of sales and distributor models and ability to optimize
  • Intercultural competence, also in emerging markets
  • Ability to negotiate, interact, and cooperate on different levels of internal and external organizations; good team player
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness for regular traveling, including market visits
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Language: Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese), English
