Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Private Equity Investment Professional to join our Private Equity Asia (PEA) group in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a key role in direct private equity investments in the Asia Pacific region.
Role-Specific Accountabilities- Contribute to the growth of CPP Investments' private equity business in Asia through investment origination, execution, asset management, and team talent development.
- Support investment origination by conducting industry and company research, identifying attractive investment targets, and building sector knowledge and network.
- Develop and execute investment strategies, including market research, competitive analysis, and financial performance analysis.
- Manage and work with third-party advisors to drive due diligence insights.
- Contribute to investment recommendation and approval processes, including drafting investment recommendations and presenting to investment committees.
- Support the negotiation and execution of agreements and other transaction-related legal documentation.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in private equity, buy-side direct investment, or investment banking M&A.
- Strong research, financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in driving important pieces of private equity investments and conducting complicated due diligence work.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with third parties, including guiding diligence focus, managing process/timetable of deliverables, and providing feedback.
- Fluent English language proficiency (written and verbal).
- Estimated salary: $150,000 - $250,000 per annum, depending on experience.
