Archivist and Heritage Specialist

John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is seeking a highly skilled Archivist and Heritage Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to manage our archives, share expertise with stakeholders, and contribute to the development of our company's heritage.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive archives collecting and acquisition strategy with Swire operating companies and external donors.
- Manage and oversee our archives management program, including description, preservation, and access for both physical and digital company archives.
- Create and maintain archives management procedures, in-house standards for archives acquisition, description, preservation, and access.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Swire Archives Catalogue by creating heritage content and publishing digitized collections.
- Provide expert support to internal and external stakeholders on archive collections and company heritage, handling enquiries, conducting research, and presenting findings.
- Collaborate with operating companies on their heritage-related initiatives and participate in outreach and communication activities as required.
- A Bachelor degree in archives and records management or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in archives or records management, preferably in a business archives environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of international archival cataloguing and descriptive standards.
- Knowledge of digital archives management and preservation.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Fluency in English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua desirable.
