Job Purpose

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of effective collection strategies, driving team performance to achieve targets while minimizing risk.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Collection Team: Direct and motivate the Collection Team to efficiently collect all unsecured and secured retail products, ensuring Bank targets are met.
  2. Collection Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance collection performance by monitoring market trends and providing coaching to team members.
  3. Workflow Optimization: Streamline collection processes and logistics to maximize resource utilization.
  4. Agency Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess the collection performance of debt collection agencies.
  5. Strategic Planning: Develop and review collection procedures, strategies, and guidelines in compliance with statutory requirements.
  6. Daily Operations Enhancement: Identify opportunities to streamline daily operations and optimize resource allocation.
  7. Liaison Role: Act as the focal point for IVA/Inter-Bank Debt Relief Plan/Bankruptcy issues.
Requirements
  • Tertiary education preferred, with at least 7 years of solid experience in collection practices or over 10 years of deep exposure in collection practices, including 7 years in a managerial role.
  • Working experience in formulating collection strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work independently under tight deadlines and time constraints.
  • Familiarity with relevant Codes and Guidelines introduced by HKMA/PCO/CRA/CCRA and litigation proceedings for both secured and unsecured products.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • High level of risk awareness, particularly in compliance.
  • Professional qualifications such as Certified Banker (CB) or ECF are preferable.
