Senior Risk Management Specialist for OTC Clear

Job Summary

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to gain in-depth exposure to HKEX's clearing houses, focusing on Hong Kong's OTC centrally cleared financial markets and risk management by joining a 2nd line risk team. The position is crucial in supporting HKEX's services, with extensive interaction with senior risk management personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform 2nd line risk management activities, concentrating on the OTC Clear across all financial and non-financial risk areas.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of new product and service proposals related to the OTC Clear service or associated areas, in conjunction with other 2nd line teams.
  • Develop and produce risk monitoring and reporting to support the OTC Clear CRO with Board reporting responsibilities.
  • Promote alignment of risk management approaches and policies for the OTC Clear with the Group Risk Appetite and regulations across jurisdictions.
  • Create innovative tools/techniques to enhance group-level risk monitoring.
  • Produce research papers to advance standards and strategies for enterprise risk topics at HKEX.
Requirements
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in fixed income risk and general risk management within a financial institution.
  • A Master's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
  • A professional risk qualification (e.g., CFA, FRM) would be beneficial.
  • Relevant working experience in an Exchange or Clearing House and familiarity with CPMI-IOSCO requirements.
  • Experience in developing or validating risk policies.
