Public Affairs Strategy Specialist

At Hong Kong Cyberport Management, we are seeking a highly skilled Public Affairs Strategy Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for formulating and executing public affairs strategies and lobbying plans to drive Cyberport development and its related statutory procedures expansion and budget initiative.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive public affairs strategies to enhance Cyberport's visibility and reputation;
- Foster strong relationships with various stakeholders, including members of the Legislative Council, Southern District Council, key opinion leaders, local community groups, academia, and schools;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging content, such as papers, letters, summaries, advertorials, press releases, and regular reports;
- Conduct research and provide insights on public affairs, digital tech market trends, industry structure, and business intelligence to inform corporate development plans;
- Maintain a deep understanding of government policies, LegCo proceedings, and community affairs to stay ahead of emerging issues;
- Monitor public perception through media and social monitoring, handle complaints, and respond to enquiries involving operational, compliance, and policy issues;
- Represent Cyberport in interviews, press conferences, and other public events, showcasing expertise and building credibility;
- Support issue management and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or above from a recognized university, preferably in Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, or technology-related disciplines;
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience with commercial or sizable organizations, governments, or semi-government bodies;
- Prior experience working in government or as a journalist, editor, or assistant to LegCo members is an advantage;
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, writing, editing, and communication skills in both English and Chinese;
- Fluency in Putonghua; excellent presentation, interpersonal, and adaptability skills;
- A proactive personality with strong leadership qualities, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Strong network with political parties and familiarity with government structures;
- Agency experience is preferred but not mandatory.
The estimated salary range for this position is HKD 60,000 - 90,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
