The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations and Communications Specialist to join its Corporate Services Division.

About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to raise awareness of gifted education in the community, enhance the Academy's reputation through brand building, and establish clear links between the PR role and modern technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing publicity strategies, digital marketing, and producing promotional materials including videos, posters, and brochures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Manager (PR & Communications) in developing and implementing publicity strategies and digital marketing campaigns;
  • Participate in the production of promotional materials, including videos, posters, brochures, and other visual aids;
  • Coordinate academy events and develop relationships with stakeholders and media;
  • Update the contents of the website and relevant social media platforms under the purview of the PR & Communications Team;
  • Handle external enquiries received through social media platforms in consultation with the Manager (PR & Communications);
  • Revise and edit publication materials;
  • Monitor relevant news and report to Senior Management;
  • Maintain and regularly update contact lists of media and relevant stakeholders;
  • Assist the Manager (PR & Communications) in monitoring the budget of annual publicity activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A degree in Journalism or Communications or equivalent;
  • At least 4 years' work experience in media and public affairs, marketing, and/or corporate relations/communications roles;
  • Proficiency in social media marketing and advertising;
  • Demonstrable track record of developing successful working relationships with reporters and bloggers;
  • Solid experience in event management and production of promotional materials;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to speak Putonghua preferred;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail;
  • Creative and flexible, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of team members and managers across divisions;
  • Good knowledge of Chinese MS Office applications and word processing;
  • Knowledge of gifted education is preferred but not essential.
