GLG is seeking a highly skilled Manager, Business Development to support the growth of our private equity business in Greater China. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients to drive commercial results through research solutions and advisory work.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior investment professionals in the private equity industry.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities in the private equity sector.
  • Lead and coordinate commercial processes, including contract negotiations and procurement.
  • Support the private equity team in strategic initiatives and partner with client solutions teams to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Host GLG roundtables, conferences, and teleconferences to enhance the company's brand and build relationships in the financial service industry.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of experience in business development, account management, or client-facing functions, preferably in the financial service or professional service industries.
  • Good understanding of the private equity industry and its players.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing institutional client bases and winning new business.
  • Experience in building thought partnerships and offering consultative solutions to private equity clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with global counterparts.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
