Wharf Hotels is seeking a skilled and experienced leader to join our team as Vice President Hotel Delivery. In this role, you will develop and implement operational strategies that drive business performance, improve guest satisfaction, and enhance brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Business Performance: Develop and implement operational strategies to drive business performance, improve guest satisfaction, and enhance brand reputation.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish business objectives and operational strategies.
  • Maintain Strong Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with owners and management teams to ensure compliance with brand standards and maximize brand value.
  • Develop and Execute Business Plans: Develop and execute annual business plans and budgets for properties, ensuring effective implementation across hotels.
  • Monitor and Improve Performance: Oversee the implementation of strategic plans, focusing on profit maximization and service quality, and lead monthly Business Review Calls to address performance gaps and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide Senior Executive Reporting: Provide senior executives with monthly evaluations of financial and operational performance.
  • Develop Quality Standards: Develop and maintain WHM quality standards for both existing and new hotels.
  • Grow the Brand: Identify new prospects to support brand growth and assist with marketing, financial analysis, and competitive positioning.
  • Implement Operational Strategies: Implement operational strategies across various areas to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee Pre-Opening Activities: Oversee pre-opening management activities and ensure timely implementation of operational standards for new hotels.
  • Guide General Managers: Provide direction to General Managers to ensure brand standards are met, profitability maximized, and issues resolved effectively.

Requirements

  • College or University degree (preferred)
  • Certification in hotel management (preferred but not required)
  • At least 15 years of experience in hotel operations or equivalent
  • Previous experience as General Manager / Area General Manager / Multi Property General Manager
  • Pre-opening / Opening Experience
  • Experience in China and Asia Pacific Region
  • Strong self-awareness, empathy, and effective communication skills
  • Excellent vision and planning skills, with the ability to organize and delegate tasks effectively
  • Embraces change, engages in creative thinking, and manages transitions effectively
