System Administrator

Classy Wheeler Limited is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing hands-on UNIX/Linux system administration, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- System Administration
- Provide expert-level UNIX/Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems and applications.
- Ensure the security and integrity of our IT infrastructure by implementing and maintaining security tools, such as firewalls, VPN gateways, and sandboxing.
- Monitor and manage system resources, system logs, security patching, and backup/recovery processes to ensure high availability and performance.
- Analyze and resolve complex system performance problems, including hardware and software issues.
- Utilize analysis tools to identify and resolve system performance issues.
- Perform IT security reviews to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Develop and implement procedures to enhance operational efficiency and security.
- Plan and implement IT projects related to IT infrastructure and security.
- Provide 7x24 standby technical support to ensure minimal downtime and maximum system availability.
- Education
- Degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in UNIX/Linux system administration.
- Hands-on experience in UNIX and Linux system administration.
- Good knowledge of firewall and security products.
- Good knowledge of shell scripting.
- Experience in cybersecurity hardening practices for major operating system platforms.
- Experience in Oracle databases and SAN storages is a plus.
- Solid experience in IT projects and daily IT operation support.
- Self-initiative, independent with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting skills and critical thinking capabilities.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Able to work independently and under pressure, and willing to work during non-office hours when required.
