About the Role

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is seeking a highly skilled BAU Sustainment Manager to join their team.

This is a challenging opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead the quality assurance process for software applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance frameworks for software applications.
  • Review quality assurance plans for application projects to ensure due diligence and key metrics meet targeted solution quality.
  • Ensure IT policies and standards compliance for systems and applications projects.
  • Oversee the quality assurance platform, manage test cases, and collaborate with project teams to enable quality assurance automation.
  • Collaborate with the IT service manager to design quality assurance tests for defects and issues in testing and production environments.
  • Work with the architecture team to ensure quality assurance frameworks align with architectural principles and can be applied to all IT application projects.
  • Lead a team to oversee the quality of application development projects, manage schedules, and resources for executing quality assurance tests.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to develop and maintain quality assurance strategies for cybersecurity-related updates and changes.
  • Design and review regression tests for applications in testing environments and design test cases for critical applications as active monitoring in production environments.
  • Lead a team in reviewing and documenting the Business Continuity Plan for core applications to ensure business operations are resilient to critical incidents.
  • Manage external service providers to optimize quality assurance resources and ensure compliance with the Authority's policies and standards.

Requirements

  • A recognised university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant disciplines.
  • At least 8 years of working experience, with 3 years in the software quality assurance role.
  • A professional certification relevant to quality assurance is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing, managing quality assurance teams and vendors' resources.
  • Experience in web, mobile, and console application testing methodologies and defining key metrics.
  • Experience in setting up DevOps workflows and hands-on experience in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Gitlab, and GitHub.
  • Experience in automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Katalon, Playwright, and Mocha.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
