Job Title: On-Board Courier Broker
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced On-Board Courier Broker to join our team at Chapman Freeborn Airchartering. As a key member of our hand-carry division, you will be responsible for handling and monitoring incoming customer requests for OBC shipments in a 24/7 shift cover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximize business opportunities by offering customers tailor-made solutions to meet clients' requests within budgetary and operational restrictions.
- Evaluate customer business needs and logistics/courier requirements and formulate an effective plan to meet such needs and requirements.
- Prepare time-critical quotations for incoming requests and allocate couriers to pending orders for worldwide requests.
- Liaise, direct, and give clear detailed instructions and information to couriers on their assignments and modify assignments as necessary.
- Monitor and track on-going shipments to ensure high-quality service delivery and meet company expectations.
- Sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with external suppliers and service providers.
- Debtor and Creditor Invoicing and order settlement.
- Attend and represent the organization at agreed trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Requirements:
- Fluent written and spoken English is an essential requirement.
- Previous work experience from the aviation, hand-carry, travel, or freight forwarding industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to coordinate multiple shipments in a timely and structured manner in a pressured environment.
