Job Summary:

Dah Sing Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Technology Manager to lead the System Development team in developing secure and quality IT systems to support and grow the bank's digital business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for mobile application development, implementation, and maintenance according to specifications.
  • Prepare documentations including functional and technical specifications.
  • Perform system test, assist user acceptance test, and performance test.
  • Responsible for Agile process, DevOps, and Automation Test.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android platforms.
  • Collaborate on project requirements, analyze needs, prepare project feasibility studies, and identify appropriate systems solutions that address business problems and opportunities.
  • Develop activity plans, time, and resource estimates; coordinate resources and activities of staff for each phase of the project, ensuring that systems changes and enhancements are carried out properly and on a timely basis.
  • Control and direct project activities; participate in system design; review and approve key milestones and deliverables; contribute to or develop systems plans to meet business needs.
  • Monitor status, prepare activity and progress reports, and identify problems that may impact results; provide feedback on activity progress; coordinate all phases of system testing, including stress test; oversee preparation of system documentation, training, and implementation of new or modified systems.
  • Conduct capacity planning with users periodically. Monitor the performance, accuracy, stability, and reliability of production systems and ensure data security on all production data. Raise recommendations and issues that may compromise them to system users and IT Management.
  • Hold overall responsibility for major application environments, including operational support.
  • Manage external relationships with vendors and consultants.
  • Assist the Head of Digital Technology in providing training to the staff of the department.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Over 5 years of related experience in mobile development (Android in particular), of which 6 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in enabling hybrid mobile app and mobile security technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Cordova or Ionic Framework.
  • Android development environment and language, e.g., Android Studio and Kotlin.
  • HTML5 and JavaScript.
  • Experience working on third-party libraries and APIs.
  • iOS development experience is preferable but not a must.
  • RASP (Run-time Application Self Protection), such as Promon.
  • Certificate pinning.
  • Experience in the full mobile app development and maintenance life cycle, from requirement gathering to mobile app submission and publication.
  • Good communication skills and leadership potential.
  • Independent and able to deliver quality results under tight schedules.
  • Banking experience is preferred but not essential.
