Job Purpose:

Lead the System Development team to develop secure and quality IT systems to support and grow Dah Sing Banking Group's digital business.

Main Responsibilities:


• Responsible for mobile application development, implementation, and maintenance according to specifications;

• Prepare documentations including functional and technical specifications

• Perform system test, assist user acceptance test, and performance test

• Responsible for Agile process, DevOps, Automation Test

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android platforms.

• Collaborates on project requirements, analyses needs, prepares project feasibility studies, and identifies appropriate systems solutions that address business problems and opportunities

• Develops activity plans, time, and resource estimates; coordinates resources and activities of staff for each phase of the project, ensuring that systems changes and enhancements are carried out properly and on a timely basis

• Controls and directs project activities; participates in system design; reviews and approves key milestones and deliverables; contributes to or develops systems plans to meet business needs. Studies all affected functions, analyses existing procedures and alternatives, conceives and designs technical configurations and plans

• Monitors status, prepares activity and progress reports, and identifies problems which may impact results; provides feedback on activity progress; coordinates all phases of system testing including stress test; oversees preparation of system documentation, training, and implementation of new/modified systems

• Conducts capacity planning with users periodically. Monitors the performance, accuracy, stability, and reliability of the production systems and ensures data security on all production data. Raises to system users and IT Management any recommendations and issues that may compromise them

• Holds overall responsibility for major application environments including operational support

• Manages external relationships with vendors and consultants

• Assists Head of Digital Technology in providing training to the staff of the department

Incumbent Requirements:


• Degree holder in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline

• Over 5 years related experience in mobile development (Android in particular), of which 6 years in managerial role

• Experience in enabling hybrid mobile app & mobile security technologies
a. Hands-on experience with Apache Cordova or Ionic Framework
b. Android development environment and language, e.g. Android Studio and Kotlin
c. HTML5 and JavaScript
d. Experience working on third-party libraries and APIs
e. iOS development experience will be preferable but not a must
f. RASP (Run-time Application Self Protection), such as Promon
g. Certificate pinning

• Experience in the full mobile app development and maintenance life cycle, from requirement gathering to mobile app submission and publication

• Good communication skills and leadership potential

• Independent and able to deliver quality results under tight schedule

• Banking experience is preferred but not essential
