About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Manager to lead our Data Analytics and Digital Solutions team at AIA. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing data and producing insights to support business needs.

Duties / Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute a data analytics strategy to support business objectives.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data warehousing, business intelligence, and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Supervise the collection, integration, and analysis of data from various sources to generate significant insights.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize data-driven initiatives.
  • Lead a team of data analysts and developers to deliver high-quality analytics projects.
  • Assist the Head of Data Governance to ensure data security and compliance standards are met.
  • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management.

Digital Platform

  • Own the development and improvement of our digital platform, including website, mobile apps, and other customer-facing digital channels.
  • Supervise the implementation of emerging technologies, such as cloud computing, microservices, and API management, to improve the digital platform's scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align the digital platform with business objectives.
  • Lead a team of software engineers, offshore developers, and vendors to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
  • Ensure consistency with best practices, industry standards, and compliance requirements in digital platform development.

Competencies

  • Data Analytics Skills
    • Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
    • High proficiency in SQL, Python, and MS Excel are required.
    • Experience with business intelligence tools for data visualization and reporting.
    • Expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
    • Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud-based data platforms.
    • Ability to define enterprise data model and data quality standards.
    • Experience in leading and managing sophisticated data analytics projects.
    • Speed and accuracy when processing data.
    • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Digital Platform Skills
    • Proficient in modern web development frameworks and technologies.
    • Hands-on experience in.Net Core, C#, WCF, LINQ, Swift, Kotlin, HTML5/CSS3, JQuery, Kendo UI, RESTful API, SOAP.
    • Experience in building and integrating APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
    • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and containerization technologies.
    • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
    • Understanding of user experience design principles and ability to collaborate with UX designers.
    • Experience in leading cross-functional teams of software engineers, DevOps, and QA professionals.
    • Familiarity with mobile app development frameworks and technologies.
