Job Description

As a Senior Regional Financial Business Partner at Maersk, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance in an organisational area by providing leadership, guidance and support on financial information, business performance and implementation of strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business cases to drive financial growth and ensure execution of plans, including monitoring of savings and costs.
  • Coordinate the overall planning process for the functions, ensuring alignment with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other functional controllers.
  • Ensure timely completion of planning and forecasting deadlines.
  • Set ambitious yet realistic targets, considering relevant economic framework conditions.
  • Establish and follow up on forecast accuracy, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Support simulations for various business scenarios.
  • Collaborate with functions to understand business needs and develop reporting and KPIs.
  • Monitor deviations from targets and forecasts, and ensure actions are taken to address them.
  • Provide qualitative management-level communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead investment decision-making processes in line with investment policy.
  • Review, develop, and sign off on investments before they proceed to management for formal approval.
  • Develop and maintain financial models as needed.
  • Track and report on all investments, including project status and progress.
  • Support strategic decision-making and provide proactive advisory services based on KPIs and business intelligence.
  • Translate business intelligence into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other business partners, potentially sitting within functions and reporting to this role.
  • Improve short- and long-term performance through relevant, accurate, and timely reporting and analysis.
  • Create value-based steering for the management team by providing predictive modeling, forecasting, extrapolation, and statistical analysis.
  • Support Cross-Functional Capability Building through WCA Learns.
  • Build effective partnerships across critical stakeholders and teams, driving results through collaboration in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Finance Business Partnering role.
  • Experience in the logistics industry is a plus.
  • CMA/CIMA certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and PowerBI is preferred.
  • Strong business analysis and performance management skills.
  • Influencing with data and problem-solving skills.
  • Product and market understanding.
  • Data strategy, visualization, and analytics skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced/growth environment.
