About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Growth Expert to join our Deal Advisory team at KPMG China. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients achieve their growth ambitions through innovative strategies and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and lead large workstreams or small projects with limited oversight, driving strategic growth initiatives for our clients.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies, identifying and prioritizing key growth platforms to enable clients to achieve their growth ambitions.
  • Collaborate with clients to challenge strategic decisions and align their operating model to their business strategy and financial targets.
  • Provide expertise in digital strategy, evaluating clients' readiness to adapt to change and identifying new opportunities created by emerging technologies.
  • Assist clients in setting and achieving ESG goals, embedding ESG into their organization's DNA, and making ESG a sustained competitive advantage.
  • Develop and deliver complex financial and business models, performing scenario and sensitivity analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, acting as an ambassador for KPMG China and developing strong relationships with junior clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in Strategy, M&A, Product, Pricing, or Actuarial teams of an insurance-related company (Insurers, Reinsurers, and Intermediaries).
  • Tier 1 & 2 strategy houses with extensive experience in insurance projects.
  • Strategy consulting or Transaction advisory or Management consulting in a Big 4/similar firm with extensive experience in insurance projects.
  • Degree from a leading tertiary institution.
  • Sound knowledge of the insurance industry, with demonstrated understanding of market landscape, key players, products, distribution channels, etc.
  • Ability to review and assess large volumes of technical data, distilling key strategic insights.
  • Ability to build complex financial models that support recommendations to clients.
  • Strong slide structuring and writing capabilities.
  • Strong numerical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, structured thinking, and creativity.
  • Confidence, people skills, ambition, and pragmatism.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; Chinese written and oral communication proficiency is a definite advantage.
