Opportunity Summary

As the leader of the procurement operations division, you will be responsible for managing the complete procurement process, which includes intake, sourcing, contracting, and various regional and local operations across Asia.

Qualifications Required

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • At least 10 years of operational experience, ideally in Procurement, Finance, or Payment-related fields.
  • Proven experience in leading teams within a global organization.
  • Familiarity with the complete procurement lifecycle and operating models, including offshore COE models, as well as experience with Procurement P2P tools such as Ariba or Ivalua.
  • Background in financial institutions or insurance sectors is advantageous.
  • A mindset geared towards operational and workflow optimization, with an understanding of workflow interdependencies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to explore and formalize new solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to convey insights effectively.
  • Proficient in team development and change management.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • A cooperative approach to teamwork.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a comprehensive operating model for both in-house and offshore procurement teams.
  • Collaborate with regional and country sourcing teams to establish an effective operational framework.
  • Oversee all operational resources related to procurement activities, including sourcing, technology, tools, and governance support.
  • Work alongside the Head of Technology and Vendor Lifecycle Management to implement the procurement technology strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Vendor Risk Management to meet Key Risk Indicator (KRI) targets.
  • Contribute to the global procurement operations branding and communication strategy.
  • Enhance change management capabilities across the Asia procurement function.

Impact Creation

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Boost productivity within the procurement process through STP/Automation, optimizing volumes, capacity, and cycle times, and reallocating capacity to sourcing initiatives.
