Position Overview

The Role

Oversee the procurement operations division, managing the comprehensive procurement process including intake, sourcing, contracting, and other associated regional and local functions within Asia.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • At least 10 years of operational experience, ideally in Procurement, Finance, or Payment-related operations.
  • Proven experience in leading teams within a global organization.
  • Familiarity with the complete procurement lifecycle and operational models, particularly in offshore centers of excellence, along with experience in implementing Procurement P2P tools (e.g., Ariba, Ivalua) is highly desirable.
  • Background in financial institutions or insurance companies is preferred.
  • A mindset geared towards operational and workflow optimization, with an understanding of workflow interdependencies.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A can-do attitude, ready to investigate and formalize new solutions.
  • Proficient in data analysis and storytelling.
  • Skills in team building and change management.
  • Excellent communication abilities with senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • A cooperative and collaborative demeanor.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive operating model for in-house sourcing teams and offshore procurement operations.
  • Collaborate with regional and country sourcing teams in Asia to create and execute an efficient operational framework.
  • Supervise all operational resources involved in procurement activities, including sourcing, operations, technology, tools, and risk governance support.
  • Partner with technology leaders to execute the procurement technology strategy.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Risk Management to meet key risk indicator targets.
  • Contribute to the global procurement operations branding and communication strategy.
  • Enhance change management capabilities across the Asia procurement landscape.
