Strategic Procurement Manager

A world-renowned multinational corporation is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to oversee IT sourcing for the Asia Pacific region. The primary objective is to develop commodity sourcing strategies to drive and execute global and regional sourcing initiatives, ensuring stakeholders' goals are effectively achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve year-on-year improvements in total cost of ownership, quality, and service.
- Collaborate with business partners from different affiliates to define business requirements.
- Develop RFI's, RFQ's, and RFP's as required by commodity strategy and supplier negotiation tactics.
- Manage the procurement-to-pay process from strategy execution through to supplier management, effectively managing the three core elements of cost, service, and risk.
- Perform supplier/spend categorization and analysis to enable meaningful reporting.
- Conduct assessments of business unit current and future needs, analysis of market trends, and potential suppliers, analysis of total cost of ownership, and opportunities to leverage changes in processes, systems, products, and services.
- Provide supplier market intelligence to the business as part of strategy communication.
- Measure and track internal performance within each commodity and define budgetary impact.
- Enable suppliers and drive transactions through e-procurement solutions (where SAP systems are used).
- Monitor and review supplier performance, develop long-term supplier collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Strategic sourcing experience – 5 years minimum.
- Effective commercial and contractual skills and strong influencing skills.
- Ability to work in a stressful commercial environment to tight schedules.
- Ability to handle uncertainty and fragmented data.
- Delivery focus with project management skills.
- CPM/CIPS Professional Membership is preferred (Certified Purchasing Manager/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply).
