Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Finance Consulting team in Hong Kong. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building enterprise-grade data solutions to execute clients' visions and developing, constructing, and testing architectures such as databases and large-scale processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines to handle data from various sources and formats
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data platforms using cloud-based technologies
  • Collaborate with technical architects and application designers to understand data conversion requirements and design conversion procedures and applications
  • Analyze new data sources and work with stakeholders to integrate new data into existing pipelines and models
  • Develop go-to-market strategies with team leaders and expand team capabilities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in data pipeline development, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Informatica, or Databricks
  • Hands-on programming skills in SQL, Java, Python, C++, Scala, SAS, or Kafka
  • Practical experience with implementing large-scale enterprise data solutions, data lakes, data warehouses, or data meshes
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Knowledge of market trends and emerging technologies such as Big Data, Blockchain, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, etc.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Engineer who is passionate about building innovative data solutions. You should have excellent problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese is required.
