  • Growth Strategy: Identifying and executing a prioritized set of growth initiatives to help clients realize their growth objectives.
  • Operating Strategy & Cost: Evaluating strategic decisions and aligning operational models with business strategies and financial goals.
  • Digital Strategy: Exploring new opportunities presented by emerging technologies and assessing readiness for change.
  • ESG Strategy: Assisting organizations in setting and achieving ESG objectives, integrating ESG into their core operations, and leveraging it as a competitive advantage.
  • Enterprise-wide Transformation: Providing a comprehensive framework for long-term strategic planning, capital allocation, portfolio assessments, scenario planning, and corporate redesigns.
We are expanding our prominent Financial Services practice and are seeking passionate professionals with experience in working with banks and financial institutions in the Mainland and Greater China region, including Taiwan and Hong Kong. Our projects span strategy, customer engagement, operations, regulatory compliance, and technology, making this an exciting time to join our growing practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage workstreams and projects with minimal oversight.
  • Assist the S&O Mainland and Greater China banking team in building industry relationships, crafting go-to-market strategies, and delivering strategic transformation projects.
  • Support the identification and pursuit of business development opportunities.
  • Lead client presentations, including the development and review of presentation materials.
  • Generate hypotheses and guide the storyboarding process.
  • Create client-ready deliverables that require limited review.
  • Analyze data and conduct basic financial modeling to support implementation efforts.
  • Develop solutions for complex challenges and provide constructive feedback to senior colleagues and clients.
  • Engage effectively with clients during projects and represent KPMG positively.
  • Build and maintain relationships with junior clients beyond project engagements.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and expertise in Banking, Wealth, and Asset Management.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Experience & Background
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with Mainland and Greater China financial institutions in various capacities.
  • Experience in strategy and operations consulting with leading firms.
  • Background in corporate strategy, corporate development, or M&A within a financial institution.
  • Experience in internal project or consulting teams within financial institutions.
  • Degree from a reputable institution.
  • Strong skills in structuring presentations and writing.
  • Demonstrated project management and workstream leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of wealth management operations and compliance.
  • Research capabilities, including market analysis and regulatory reviews.
  • Project management experience in regulatory, operational, or transformation projects.
  • Project management certification and familiarity with Agile methodologies are advantageous.
  • Analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, structured thinking, and creativity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ambition, and pragmatism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
  • Experience in Mainland China is highly preferred.
