Job Description

The successful candidate will assume full operational, commercial, and financial responsibility for the Department. Their primary objective will be to ensure that agreed business objectives and performance targets are achieved and surpassed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve and continuously maximize revenue and operational performance targets for the Department.
  • Monitor managers to guarantee the training of new and existing staff members.
  • Increase staff engagement and motivate employees in promoting a culture of teamwork.
  • Review the performance of direct subordinates and provide constructive feedback for growth and development.
  • Coach Sales, Customer Services, and Operations teams on delivering the business plan effectively.
  • Foster regular interaction with Senior Managers to execute the strategy for the country.
  • Promote continuous process improvement to enhance profitability and efficiency within the Department.
  • E nsure secure, safe, efficient, and customer-oriented handling of operations and customer services according to the company's standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare the annual budget and capital expenditure plans for the Department.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Degree holder in Logistics or Business-related field.
  • Proven track record gained over several years in a general management role with profit responsibility.
  • Experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Experience in import/export operations and customs.
  • Proven track record in developing and leading high-performance teams.
  • Excellent track record in developing profitable and successful teams.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, competitive, corporate quality-aware environment.
  • Evidence of successful career progression.
  • Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service, Sales, and Business Skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Skilled in working cross-culturally, developing relationships with colleagues globally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
