About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Audit Manager to join our team in a challenging and highly competitive market place. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial services, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

The Financial Services Audit Manager will be responsible for managing audit engagements, supervising teams, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Key responsibilities include:

  • Auditing financial statements and group reporting packages in various GAAPs, including HKFRS, IFRS, US GAAP, and other European local standards.
  • Working on assurance engagements such as review engagements, SOX engagements, agreed-upon-procedure engagements, and engagements relating to the reporting accountant for initial public offerings.
  • Supervising engagement field teams, completing performance reviews, and providing on-site training.
  • Acting as the audit in-charge for clients, briefing, and leading teams to deliver audits.
  • Maintaining regular communication with line managers, partners, and clients on issues and progress.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified accounting background with at least 2 years of financial services audit experience within a major firm.
  • Familiarity with SFO, ICO, BO, and MPFO is an advantage.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to research accounting issues in a wide variety of GAAPs.
  • Knowledge in insurance financial reporting basis, e.g., IFRS 17.
  • Strong business awareness and ability to identify audit issues arising from commercial transactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin.
  • Team player with the ability to multi-task, adapt quickly, and work under pressure.
  • Socially confident with good diplomacy and organizational skills.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits, professional development opportunities, and a collaborative work environment.
