Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Services Audit Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing audits of the Institutional Banking Group (IBG) and Global Transaction Services (GTS) portfolios.



About the Role


In this role, you will be working closely with senior management to identify key risks and controls, and develop strategies to address these areas. You will also be responsible for managing assignments efficiently, defining audit scope, risk matrices, and testing strategy, reviewing audit working papers and reports.



Key Responsibilities



  2. Plan, lead, manage, and execute audits covering IBG and GTS portfolios in accordance with department and professional standards.
  3. Keep abreast of emerging issues in relevant units under his/her audit portfolios.
  4. Support digital agenda to build up the IBG/GTS audit platform for risk assessment, planning, control testing, and reporting.
  5. Actively advise and apprise Audit management of all major risk, control, and regulatory issues that impact the control environment of the Bank.
  6. Manage key relationships with management of IBG/GTS including relevant support units.
  7. Provide consultancy advice to internal stakeholders on control matters so as to build up Audit's identity as a trusted advisor.
  8. Provide recommendations, where appropriate, to enable that major concerns and recommendations raised by internal and external auditors, and regulators are resolved satisfactorily.
  9. Guide and support other audit team members where necessary or appropriate.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  2. Minimum 12 years' working experience in audit or relevant experience in financial institutions.
  3. Solid knowledge of corporate banking, credit risk management, cash management, and trade finance, including knowledge of relevant products, operations, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
  5. Effective interpersonal and project management skills. Be organized with strong problem-solving skills and deliver on deadlines.
  6. Able to work independently and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to achieve desirable outcomes.
  7. Prior experience in audit, risk management, or control functions would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
  8. Degree holder in any discipline. Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA, FRM, CIA, CAMS, or CISA) would be an advantage.
  9. People with lesser experience will be considered for AVP.

Location


The position is based in Hong Kong, with regular travel to other locations within the region.
