Key Responsibilities

As a Client Onboarding Associate at BBVA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth onboarding of new clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Engage and cooperate with key departments, including Compliance, Sales, and Onboarding Teams, to coordinate communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Client Onboarding
    • Manage the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring compliance with regulations and analyzing client profiles, including ownership structure, management, and sanctions.
  • AML Compliance
    • Manage and perform regular review processes in accordance with AML policies and departmental procedures within established timeframes.
  • Record Keeping
    • Keep records updated with relevant changes notified by clients, such as changes in shareholding structure or authorized representatives.
  • Regulatory Updates
    • Stay updated on regulatory changes and internal procedures related to KYC standards and AML regulations.
  • Project Participation
    • Participate in projects of different tenors that impact the onboarding process.

Job Specifications

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma or degree holder in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, or related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in onboarding teams or AML/KYC/Compliance roles.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of KYC and AML regulations.
  • Experience with World-Check One and Orbis is a plus.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with alerts of sanctions, PEPs, adverse media, etc.
  • Google Suite knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence.
